Brothers, Sisters, Sister-brothers and Brother-Sisters, it's time for us to steal our bodies back. But as important as this is, its just as important to understand how they got stolen from us in the first place.

I first heard the word "masturbation" crying onto my fathers shoulder, in my dimly lit bedroom, at the age of 14. A pastor and the tentative leader of an apocalyptic christian commune, my old man was utterly disgusted by the confused adolescent girlie pictures I had drawn, and disgusted more so by the possibility that I had (GASP) actually touched myself. I am not afraid to accuse Puritan Christianity of stealing my body from me, and of doing the same to countless others. In other words, as terrible as it was to live in a pit of sexual repression and ignorance, its much worse to see that same psychosis reflected in mass media, pornography, and campaigns against sex-education & birth-control, to name a few padlocks on Puritanisms cultural chastity belt.

For me personally, the culprit was Christian indoctrination, but for others, it's advertising, drugs, debt, work, governments, prisons, a whole buffet of anorexic addictions. Our sacred flesh is being butchered and commodified to serve the totality, and it has to stop.

To steal your body back is to clear away all the cultural, spiritual, psychic, and social garbage and consecrate your flesh as a sacred temple, a precious gift that you may give freely to anyone you choose, in any way you choose as long as it harms none.
