	About softenedstone One of my favorite things in the world is to bird watch. Mind you, I'm not actually an avid bird watcher, rather just someone who likes birds a hell of a lot and occasionally watches them. The fact that these little delicate creatures can have such a large and quirky personality makes me smile. Realizing it's probably just in my head, I love the way birds are just ready to go with the flow and seem ready to fly with whatever breeze comes along to scoop them up. I find myself recently hoping to be more like the birds as I'm learning to deal with a lot of unexpected things at once. Usually I like to have things planned out, and as one of my friend's who works the same way put it, "I'm finding that I can't plan everything out before hand." However, I'd at least like to have some say in who I become, and I'm working on that right now. For the first time ever, I'm looking at myself and asking what I want to see rather than what I do. I want to work with people, contribute to the world in some manner, and avoid a desk job as much as humanly possible. I tend to be a pretty silly person, I know I can be shy when I don't feel comfortable around people and have a bad nack for surrounding myself with people I know once I have a decent sized network and being resistant to socializing outside of it. So, I try to force myself into situations that work to rectify that situation often. I really enjoy anthropology, am interested in both buddhism, and unitarianism. Unlike most people my age, I don't enjoy getting drunk and wild parties. I fool around a lot with graphic art, painting, and photography. Someday, I hope to find a way to travel with a job. I may be currently headed back to VA. I'd love to make a few friends off the site, but I'm not likely to just gung-ho give out my name and a detailed picture without getting to know a person first. Part of my reason for not bothering with proper casing for O/our community, I figure if you can deal with my 'nilla' personality, you'll probably do just fine with the rest of me ;) I'm not in any position to move any time shortly, but for the right person at the right time I would be willing to take steps to move to be with them. Hard limits: children, showers, scat, bloodplay, infantilism, needles... I think there might be a couple more, but they aren't coming to mind at the moment...

Taking time to think really changes how you see the world.

There was more I was going to write on this, about beliefs and figuring out who I want to be in the world, but I'm not sure what to write. My world has been turned upside down in a matter of months, as have my perceptions of it. I'm not sure what I want from life anymore, much less who I am, but I do know what sort of person I would like to try to become.
