About Vithirax

About Me

This profile page is about me Vithirax, a polyamorous straight male dominant age 31. My primary partner has her own profile Vithsharley that is about her. I/we are not at present actively seeking anything, though always open to new relationships.

I don't spend a lot of time on these websites, social networking, chats, or otherwise a great deal of time socializing in general, this is part of who I am. I like to learn, work, explore, watch a little TV from time to time, but in general either expand my knowledge, have a little fun with real people I know in person, or find 'better' uses of my time then to spend a great deal of time sorting through all the 'garbage' on 'social networking sites.

Social information

Things I enjoy (though never spend enough time on) hunting, photography, fishing, hiking, Camping, swimming (nature).
Reading: fiction: sci-fi, fantasy, historical fiction(fantasy) non-fiction: (Just about anything that peaks my interests though mostly computer related)
Movies: Romantic comedies (chick-flicks), sci-fi fantasy, some dramas and thrillers (horror movies just bore me or make me laugh)
Dining out, attending friends parties, museums, zoos, and in general spending time with those I like/love.
I've always been a bit of an agoraphobic (I'm not good with crowds of people) though I love the outdoors.
I'm not a very creative person, I'm more interested in learning all the facts I can about almost anything.

COMMON SENSE

PERHAPS the Sentiments contained in the following Pages, are not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favour; a long Habit of not thinking a Thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable Outcry in defense of Custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more Converts than Reason.

---- Ommision ----

Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one; for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same miseries by a Government, which we might expect in a country without Government, our calamity is heightened by reflecting that we furnish the means by which we suffer. Government, like dress, is the badge of lost innocence; the palaces of Kings are built on the ruins of the bowers of Paradise. For were the impulses of conscience clear, uniform, and irresistibly obeyed, Man would need no other lawgiver; but that not being the case, he finds it necessary to surrender up a part of his property to furnish means for the protection of the rest; and this he is induced to do, by the same prudence which in every other case advises him, out of two evils to choose the least. Wherefore, security being the true design and end of government, it unanswerably follows, that whatever form thereof appears most likely to ensure it to us, with the least expense and greatest benefit, is preferable to all others.

---- Ommision ----

Here then is the origin and rise of government; namely, a mode rendered necessary by the inability of moral virtue to govern the world; here too is the design and end of government, viz. Freedom and Security. And however our eyes may be dazzled with show, or our ears deceived by sound; however prejudice may warp our wills, or interest darken our understanding, the simple voice of nature and of reason will say, 'tis right.

---- Ommision ----

Absolute governments, (tho' the disgrace of human nature) have this advantage with them, that they are simple; if the people suffer, they know the head from which their suffering springs; know likewise the remedy; and are not bewildered by a variety of causes and cures. But the constitution of England is so exceedingly complex, that the nation may suffer for years together without being able to discover in which part the fault lies; some will say in one and some in another, and every political physician will advise a different medicine.

intellectual discussions

The following is is from an discourse I have been having with a fine lady I have had the good fortune to meet on collarme. So far we have connected on an intellectual basis, and have had quite an interesting running dialog going about each other's various opinions on certain subjects, in certain aspects we nearly mirror each other's sentiments, and in others we have slightly differentiating opinions, which works for a great intellectual exchange.

But I digress the following is her words expressing her views, which I happen to share and strongly agree with.

Dear Kevin AKA Vith,

When dealing with someone in a face to face environment, you can sometimes tell how attentive they are to the discussion at hand by their verbal cues - or body language, or how they respond or question the points you make in a discussion. However, it is just as easy to watch them dismiss the topic at hand or the focus of your discussion with little to no concern for your own attempts at communicating.

In some ways, the internet can be a better resource for intellectual discussions then that of face to face - our carefully formed discussions logged or saved for posterity, and the words we utter archived for future and easy reference. I think, however, it also makes things just as easy to ignore or dismiss, if someone does not wish to pay attention to what we are uttering. This is, sadly, a continuing sign of those who participate in intellectual debate's continuing ignorance and choice to enter into a forum of opinion holding only their own as true and right simply because it is the opinion they have formed.

I do think that a community of unfettered minds could be a beautiful thing - if we could stop poisoning our own minds with either the need to be right, or the need to be acknowledged, or the need to have all things go in our favor. Sadly, we bring the same perceptions about life and the world to the internet that we bring elsewhere with us in the world - that 'the world at large' owes us the right to a fair, or a happy, or a good life. That people should listen when we talk, despite how little or how much listening we do when others speak. The greatest and most saddening thing of all is when people use the blessing of anonymity that is the internet to bombast the world at large with skewed, imbalanced opinions with no real logic or purpose to support them.

This is, in some measure, a good tell of how to judge someone's inner maturity on some levels; it is also a disheartening thing to witness when discussions collapse into an argument. The pool of available intellect on the internet is boundless (just look to wikipedia, for example,) but it also means that the inevitable pool for stupidity is also endless. The internet can be a fountain of delight in the intellectual realms, and it can be a cesspool of mental hollowness that echoes and mirrors the blackness of the human soul.

So, if one wished to create a 'purist' or an 'elite' place of discourse, one would sadly have to anticipate that it would be polluted by the same negativity, immaturity, and egocentrical behaviour that is evinced everywhere the internet has its many tentacled grasp.

A sad thought, but one I find to be very true, regardless of where I go - by giving us unfettered access to our peers minds, the internet can be a very elevating thing - or something dirtier then porn, a pollutant of the mind and soul that encourages it to wallowing in its own mire of misery instead of elevating others to an enlightened point.

I do think 'enlightenment' as a movement is coming for humanity... I just think it is sadly still some distance away for us as a race. Reaching it as individuals is simply a matter of learning to listen, and to do so with an open, unbiased mind. This is, of course, ultimately the most difficult of all abilities to gain, methinks. ^.~

Be well,

~Mai

Perhaps in the future my new found friend and I will find an area of though where we our polar opposites and we will be able to have a more of a debate, than a common dialog of shared and focused ideas. I look forward to many more interested conversations with my new friend.

All About Aftercare

"In the context of the sexual practice of BDSM, aftercare is the process of attending to a submissive after intense activities of a physical or psychological nature relating to BDSM activities. Aftercare goes above and beyond any possible necessity to treat or clean wounds (contusions, abrasions, punctures, lacerations, etc) from bloodplay or other BDSM practices."[Wikipedia]

Some say this practice is completely unnecessary. I would argue that each person is different, as well as each scene is different, and that a general rule cannot be formed that fits all situations.

Best practices for after care are to observe your bottoms reactions, and then see to their needs, it may simply be a hug, a kiss, and "you where wonderful" or it may take more to prevent psychological damage to your bottom.

We don't want to break our toys, so be mindful of their needs as well as your own. Make certain that your slave, submissive or bottom is fit, and be mindful for sub drop.

Aftercare doesn't end with the scene, and making certain that they are sill breathing, and their wounds are clean, covered, and cared for. You may have to be attentive to your bottoms needs for days to come after a scene.

We are responsible for whom we play with, even if it is casual play it is our responsibility to see to their needs.

Several Post scene interviews are good, make certain that they are not having mis-givings immediately, and a few days after until you are certain their emotional state from the scene has 'stabilized'.

There are many other good sources of information on aftercare, look into them and always practice this lifestyle in a safe, sane, and consensual manner.

Dominance is no excuse for rudeness

I've met a few Dominants in this lifestyle who feel that their 'role' entitles them to be rude, and inconsiderate to others.

It is my belief that Dominance is an excuse for nothing, and if you want to claim to be Dominant you need to be in control of yourself, who you are, your actions, and should hold yourself to a higher standard than the average Tom Dick or Harry.

As Dominants We need to be compassionate, caring, and approachable, so that we can properly take care of our most valued possessions, our slaves and/or submissives.

This doesn't rule out rough play, or humiliation, or anything else, it simply means that our slaves/submissives need to know that we care about their health and well being, otherwise they are likely to come to the realization that they are better of without us.

And I for one am tired of picking up the broken pieces from a sub/slave who's been maliciously treated by their dominant, that is not Dominance, that is abuse. Learn the difference before you play.

Vithirax

My feelings about online relationships

They only work after an established R/L relationship, otherwise the required, trust, understanding, and connection is not there.

If you interested in an online relationship only, move on. Better yet, get over it and get out in the real world, and find out if you really like it, or just think you do.

Get involved with whatever community you can, knowledge is power, see what works for others, and keep that in mind.

For Gods sake people, be careful out there, and be real, and CARE! There are some who say they are Dominant men/women, who are nothing more than controlling abusers, learn to know the difference, learn by getting INVOLVED!

Okay enough ranting, maybe I'll reach one person with this and help them understand.

Vithirax

I am a frustrated man.

The moral decay of society has me frustrated. There seems to be an almost complete lack of civility left in our civilization. It seems to me that people as a general rule have let themselves become little more than educated beasts.
The crime rate for violent, and sexual related crimes keeps escalating, and society keeps becoming more and more tolerant of this behavior.
We can hardly watch the news any more without hearing of some new sexual offender, murderer, home invasion, school/office slaughter.
Please let everyone who reads this stop, take a moment, and examine themselves, and make sure you are who you want to be, and please let that person be something better than the dregs of the earth.
Vithirax

Yes, I am arrogant and opinionated, it's who I am, I hold myself to a certain standard, and I expect, others of the human race to meet or exceed that standard, sadly I'm constantly disappointed.

If you cannot be civil, and show the other occupants on this planet a little common courtesy, please remove yourself.

Dominance and submissive is about the exchange, or power, or energy, each person should give, and receive equally, otherwise the unbalance will break down the relationship.

Submission is a gift to be cherished, not something that can be demanded of anyone.

Respect is earned, but I should not need to earn anyones respect to receive from that person civility, and common courtesy.
