	About Gentlechain This profile is in so much need of an update ... but it will have to wait until the elections are over and all counted. --------------------------------------------- I am an easy going, low protocol Dom. The mind is the greatest of things to work with. Nice guy with wanting to have everyone be equal ... supportive ... but then wants everything my way and to use you (such a confusing contrast). Works best with those who see themselves as naturally submissive and yet want to be valued for their capabilities. So, can you be a slave and a partner at the same time? Likes to use pain for a reaction rather than for harm, bondage to turn a cute sub into an . But my not being able to pull hair is like not being able to kiss ... stops more interesting things from happening. On the vanilla side I can be geeky (played a board game recently?) and at the same time involved in the civic community (Politics is fun!). I tend to be messy and cannot seem to get things put away (see, a sub can be better at things than a Dom) but my imagination and world views are worth being around to share. I am in need of reorganizing my world (what a mess) and getting back to shape (a thin body with too much weight ... at 61 the 260 should be 140 ... ok, so that is an extreme).

I am watching the 75th Golden Globes.

There are 33 different movies that have received nominations through the various categories ... I have seen 32 of them in theaters this season. I missed "The Boss Baby" but it did not win so I will have seen all the winners.

I watched Super Bowl LI last night. What a swing for that game.

First Quarter - neither team could score (two top offenses in the NFL for 2016)

Second Quarter - Falcons dominate and put up the biggest lead that the Patriots had seen all season.

Third Quarter - Patriots finally get act together but are moving the ball too slowly ... there will not be enough time in the game to make things close.

Fourth Quarter - Things are getting more interesting ... but it was not until less than 2 minutes left in the game when they get within range to tie the game.

Overtime - The first overtime game in Super Bowl history finishes with a Patriot touchdown.

I am disappointed that I was not able to run a Super Bowl party this year. There was much to talk about in this game.

The election of November 8, 2016 was interesting to watch. I had made my predictions back in April 2016 and given it to others in April.

I did not call Michigan correctly. I had picked the three "toss up states" as ones that Trump would have to win ... but was swayed by recent polls and thought that Pennsylvania would go Clinton which did not happen.

World outlook is shown by who we support for public office. That and what we know. Many of those who voted did not know much.

I figured I would take the "BDSM Test" again and see how my numbers add up after having this interest for many years ...

I think it rates Degrader, Sadist, Brat Tamer (I do not want to be bothered), and, Masochist too high (I do not even like to be uncomfortable).

Super Bowl XLIX .... that was a very decent game. Even those not into football (and at Super Bowl watch parties) ended up paying attention to the game.

Much to talk about.

Monday, August 11th ---

Robin Williams passed today ... sometime before 12 Noon.

I am surprised how much this has captured my attention and made me sad.

I have always thought that the title of his comedy album "Reality, What a Concept" covered his style so well.

His passing today leaves the world with fewer smiles and laughter.

The movie "Venus in Fur" is a great work with complex characters that keep on twisting & changing as the story unfolds. This is a lifting of the play of the same name but shot in such away it comes alive on the big screen. This is a very decent adaptation of the book "Venus in Furs" (first printed 1870 in Austria).

This shows the characters (more him than her) try to give up their power from a deep need. I think submissives will take much from seeing the movie. Do see it in a theater. Know that there are subtitles to read (much talking) and with the strong acting you need to also watch the faces & body language (at the same time) to get the whole story.

Last year I was able to see all the films nominated for an Academy Award BEFORE the 85th Oscars.

I am about to go out the door to see my last film to do it again ... to once again see all the films nominated (57 in total) ... all in theaters before the 86th Academy Awards on Sunday (3/2/2014). This is only possible in Los Angeles and maybe New York City.

How about that to make me a cinema snob/elitist?

Oscars - 2010

This year I was able to see 56 of the 58 films nominated for one or more Oscar prior to the Academy Awards. In 2009 I was able to catch 48 of the 50 nominated films prior to the award show.

Sort of a geeky pursuit but something that can be done thanks to being in the "Heart of Screenland".

So have people found that this system works or do you find a better connection rate via systems like Alt.com?
