Saga of the devoted ember
A tiny ember glowed in the darkness of the soul.
The soul refused to recognize it, fearing it, not understanding it.
What if the ember burst into flames?
Would the soul be condemned?
So year after year the little ember laid buried deep inside,
Barely alive yet determined to survive.
Ashes left behind when the heart was hurt time and again
Heaped upon the gently glowing ember.
But the heart couldn’t forget the warmth the ember once radiated.
And the heart yearned for the warmth and struggled against the fearful soul.
One day a powerful Master, kind and caring,
Saw the glow of the ember through it’s maiden’s eyes.
Gently, patiently, He brushed away the ashes,
And the little ember was exposed.
At first the maiden trembled, frightened, unsure now of her place in this new world.
But the Master reassured her, taking her hand, lifting her from the dark coals.
“I will teach you, my pet, train you and protect you, and you will become fire.”
With wisdom and skill the Master coaxed the little ember and her flame grew
Till all could see its brightness reflecting in the Master’s pride in her.
The soul began to enjoy the warmth and its fear lessened.
There was safety and protection within the Master’s caring,
And she devoted herself to serving Him, her only desire to please Him.
Their love grew. Their bond became strong.
His passion, wisdom, teachings, and discipline fuel her fire now
And she feels complete.
He feels His power and control as He watches her flame grow brighter
And He feels complete.
Together T/they are one.
