I had extensive journals here a couple of years ago, but alas, I deleted them after a few rude comments from members who were obviously not here for anyone's benefit other than their own personal amusement. ? So I begin again, and hope my words find meaning in the hearts of those who care.
My journey had a harsh beginning.? I regret nothing.? I jumped in head first and was taken on a roller coaster ride that was beyond anything I could have imagined. Several weeks of intense training that molded my attitudes and solidified my perspective forever more.
What I endured is not for everyone.? It was my journey and it's outcome satisfies me.? Your journey will be something different I imagine, as lightning rarely strikes twice.? But do not fear it, just be prepared for it.? I was not, but then I think I am a rare case.
That was when I was in my late teens early 20's and I am a several years older and wiser now.? Would I make the same decision today?? Perhaps not.? But having done so I can say that those who guided me took as much of a chance with me as I did with them, and neither was disappointed.
Times are different now, we all understand, technology has changed much about who we are and how we live.? But the basics of commitment, dedication, drive, determination, resilience, courage, and compassion are all still paramount in anyone's search for satisfaction in this lifestyle, whether you are Dom or sub.
It is important to know why you want what you think you want, and why it is difficult to surrender yourself to it completely.? So for the novice it is important to ask a million questions BEFORE making a "commitment" to something, else your desires may not be fulfilled.? Make educated choices... the spontaneity will not be lost.?
