For those who haven't heard, I was just diagnosed with Celiac disease. I cannot have wheat, rye, or barley in any form. I am so sensitive that I cannot have oats, and it has caused a milk allergy.
As of today, the list of people I want to meet includes ANY CELIAC SUFFERERS! I have just been broadsided, and it is extremely hard to adjust to life with such a huge change, effective immediately. No slow off, cold turkey. No more gluten or milk, period.
So if you know of any good recipes or companies, or have support or advice to offer, please let me know. Solid advice or product reviews don't exactly abound on the products' web sites, and noone I know has this.
I am a health nut- I run an hour a day, drink 8 glasses of water, eat right, get exams, and take great care of my self in general with yoga and vacations. And I am the only person I know with a rare and extremely dangerous disease. Go figure.
Life's a roller caoster and the uphill ride just started. Once I fight to the top, I get to the fun part, right? Let's start fighting.
