Sir With Love

In the absence of Sir who has departed on holiday until 16 January I have been keeping myself busy with Christmas preparations.

Speaking to a lovely lady whom we have met here on CM, I realised something today that I probably hadn't admitted to myself before. 

Sir is really quite committed to protecting, nourishing and nurturing me. I try not to burden him with too much of the shit that has been going on in my life. At a fundamental level this is because I am stoic and also because I am used to (trying) to be emotionally self reliant. 

With Sir  I can let loose the floodgates, cry and be hugged with no expectation that I should have to stop.

D/s relationships are based on friendship as well as love and mutual respect.

This week I realised just how comforting it is to have Sir on my side.  As much as a firm hand to nourish my pain centre these days I also need a strong sane sensible second opinion.

When all else fails a lovely early Christmas present (RED SHOES - squeaks) lifts my spirits.

I laughed when Sir told me about his shopping expedition to buy them.  I can just imagine him telling the pretty shop assistant - "If I get the right pair of shoes she won't be walking around in them'.

Well, an interesting time looking for another....

After a few false starts and bizarre messages I am even more firmly convinced how lucky I am to have my princess.
