I mourn the loss of my previous roomate Holly Tott. We were roomates for 2 years.
Holly was fun, loved to dance, loved to dress up and put makeup on and more than anything loved to serve willingly to those who did not take advantage of her.
She loved the movie "Pretty Woman" and wished someone would come and whisk her away. She also loved "EverAfter" which we watched every nght for a month before we had cable.
She loved Will Smith, She loved Hip hop and rap.
We met under very negaative conditions regarding a man, however with time, the man was gone and Holly and I became good friends. We got to know each other very well, and though she had her problems, she was very vivacious and loved life and loved to have fun.
Life gave her some unbearable twists that she coud not mentally cope with; some of which she had done to herself. But She had a good heart, and she deserves to be mourned by those who knew her. It is not certain if she took her own life or if it was an accident. I have my own beliefs.
She was definitely a S.A.M. and got herself in great trouble at times. But the bottom line is that she tried to be helpful to many people in her lifetime, and many took advantage of her kindness; mistaking it for weakness.
Holly was my friend regardless of her problems. She was there for me when many others were not. I will miss her deeply. May she sleep with the angels and R.I. P. at last. |

I just got back from a 2 week stay in L.A.
Had a LOT of FUN! saw friends and family, got wined and dined, went to the Renaissance Faire...now I need a vacation from my vacation! |

OK, so I've been out of touch for a long time. My health is better now, I've had weight loss surgery Dec 2009 and I've lost a helluva lot of weight. Humility is a sign of true courage and confidence. Those who are unsure of themselves are the ones who must prop up their egos with loud and arrogant boasts. What a waste of effort! Those who are confident enough to act with humility are the ones who get things done.
When you can admit that you don't know it all, you set yourself up to learn valuable things. When you act with respect and deference toward others, you win their sincere, enthusiastic respect in return. Humility is not backing down. It is moving forward past your own petty ego.
