My name is Dustin. I've decided to give collarme a(nother) try, though I go into this with no expectations. So, a little about me...
I'm a drummer. I've been playing since I was a little kid in one fashion or another (my parents particularly enjoyed my "pots and pans" phase.) I also play bass guitar casually. I LOVE funk music - Tower of power and 311, I like rock music, Framing Hanley and Incubus, and I hate metal and country and rap. The only exception to this generality is Sevendust...I <3 me some Sevendust.
Why do I dominate? That's a tough question to answer completely. Why do some people like the color green, or prefer comedy to action? I dominate for several reasons. The first, and most obvious, is that it pleases me. It's quite simply, fun. The second reason is that a relationship should be built on several factors, of which one of the most important is trust. A relationship built on D/s takes a lot of trust...and I enjoy knowing that a woman trusts me and is comfortable with me. Lastly, i enjoy being in control. The Statement: "You have no right to expect a submissive to write you back."
The Response: well, actually...Yes, I do. When I come across a profile I find appealing, I send her a message. Believe it or not, I'm not someone who comes on here and sends every single new profile a message. I excersise restraint in who I contact. I don't know how many desperate saps there are on here who come on every day to search for new profiles, but I've sent literally 9 messages in the past month. None have received responses.
Yes, I feel entitled to a response, even if it's "Sorry, not interested."
The amount of effort I put into the messages isn't extreme- I try not to look, act, or talk like a moron, and I tell the submissive in question what it is about her or her profile that prompted me to send the message. It's not time consuming, physically or mentally challenging or difficult in any way. And it's still infinitely more effort than I receive in return.
I'm tired of hearing that I'm not allowed to place any expectations on someone because they're a submissive. Well, you know what? I am going to expect something of them- common courtesy.

I can't help but wonder how many of the girls I message simply aren't interested because my initial message is "too soft" or "too nice" "not dominating enough."
