I believe that a successful D/s relationship is one in which both parties respect each other highly. That may sound strange, but if you've done this before, you probably know what I mean. I need a sub who needs to obey me as much as I need her to. (Say that 5 times fast.)
As a dom, I can be heavy-handed at at times, but more often I am fair and balanced. I do not push things beyond anything which I cannot control, of course. I am also not so much into the "dress up" aspect of the fetish (leather, spikes, etc). It's fine and dandy if my sub likes to do that, but I believe that it castrates a man. A man should dress as well-respected, classy, powerful individual -- his woman should be the obvious whore.
