Consider self to be submissive in the relationship where one takes the role of the alpha thereby allowing the natural state of submission to flourish. It is not about just submitting because this is where there is most comfort in life, it is about state of mind and heart that allow the free flow of submission to be expressed driven by the connection and chemistry between Dominant and submissive. Have been looking for the alpha for a number of years (not aggressively though), and have found this to be a challenge to say the least; as not just any "one" that states they are that are, for me there has to be chemistry, connection and mutual desire.
As much as it is written, and described by many in their search for their one submissive in such statement as "for use as i see fit", "if you ensure to please me", and so forth and such; the mental dynamic will never be truly expressed without the honest free will of the submissive. So as much as many might feel their dictatorship might be the inspiration of a solid D/s dynamic; the essence of submission will never be fully captured in my mind without the nurturing of character that is equitably defined prior to and through the course of any relationship. In simple terms: the D/s dynamic is not all about you as dominant. It is about two or more traveling in a similar direction, taking each others desires, needs, wants, aspirations, etc. into account and under consideration in the journey.
It is a rare occasion for one to attract my immediate attention,
however it is not so rare for me to disassociate from those that make it
all about themselves, their ego's, sexual self gratification, and selfishness..
