I hate moving. And for some reason, it's always raining when I do. But, new digs means a new start, another chance so to speak, so I've decided to do all the things I've been waiting for something to make me do. Like update my journal more often. |

Wow haven't updated my profile in a long time. Let's see... what have I been up to in the last 9 months...
I had several good friends pass away, my wife left, the company I was working for went under and laid me off, I was forced to sell my house, I broke four ribs, split my brow open and had to get thirteen stitches (my lucky number!) the transmission went out in my new truck (thank God for warranties) and most of the people I thought were my friends weren't. Wow, now all I need is a razor and some dark corner and I could be an Emo kid heh... But you know, at first all that stuff made me upset, but by now it has taught me a whole new kind of calm acceptance of things I can not change. Because of that I can now focus more clearly on the things I can change. Buddha taught that we should be thankful for adversity, because through it's eyes we can see ourselves more truly. Thanks Siddartha, I mean it..... In fact this chant's for you Om mani padme hum....... heh. |
