I need to have a safe sex chat with you. I have genital herpes (HSV-2). When I tell this to people I get one of three responses:
Camp 1: guys stop talking to me - they just disappear (really? really? at least have the decency to let me know you aren’t interested if we have been chatting for a while)
Camp 2: guys say it isn't a problem for foot massages but there will be no sexual play that involves my genitals
Camp 3: guys are ok with it (because they really want the sexual play and/or because they are well educated)
I rarely get outbreaks. I take suppression meds every day to protect my partners. And I never play sexually with someone without making sure they are aware of the risks.
