About maripose
This is very new to me, both the BDSM world and trying to connect with people via the internet - so I will try to be as articulate as I can. Please bear with me.
I am a very independent woman, and get a good deal of satisfaction from the fact that I can run my life and career more or less successfully. Nonetheless, I get rubbed a little raw by the world sometimes and not only seek a haven on occasion, but have found (at first strangely) that I actually do better when someone else takes charge - at least over certain things. I might be talking about some pretty fine hair splitting to some people since my above comment wasn't necessarily meant sexually, but that small, yet dramatic shift in perception seems to... free up (I suppose that's the best description I can come up with) energy that I can spend better elsewhere.
I feel a distinctive allure to the idea of submission, so much so that I've been pursuing every piece of reliable information I can find to better to define my interests. Information isn't the same thing as experience however (and I'm still searching for both) but the few experiences I have had have rather profoundly touched me. I believe that portions of the BDSM world are really raising sex to the level of an art form.
To me submission is a form of comfort zone. It's more comfortable to be polite, it's a pleasure to see someone else content, particularly through my own efforts, and I deeply believe in respecting anyone worthy of it - whatever form that respect may take. And please don't mistake me. It might be my natural inclination to endure anything someone dishes out at first - however cheap or degrading, but I also have enough pride to want to serve someone I truly respect, not just who believes they deserve respect.
I will reply to any intelligent notes, but please remember I also expect a certain level of courtesy (a few years in the South made quite an impact) - as you should from me. |
