Road Trip: The return


Travel Tip #1: Chocolate bars do not make good travel snacks in warn cars.

Travel Tip #2: That sign on the side of the road right before the passing lane that states "Use Left Lane For Passing Only" means that slow ass fucking people keep to the right! That got old real quick. Take your notes from Luda. "Move bitch. Get out the way!"

Travel Tip #3: Apparently when you want to go north from Vancouver, you actually want to go east.

Travel Tip #4: The lady at the Tempo Gas Station just outside of Boston Bar is fuckin Crazy!

At 730am I was on the road. Traffic was surprisingly light during the morning rush hour and I was on the highway in no time. I had sun, speed (motion, not the drug), mountains, valleys, trees, white water, deer, elk (which did not try to kill me) a great mix of MP3s to sing my ass off to.

I arrived in Prince George around 430pm. What was my reason for going there? A lifestyle couple that I knew was looking to gain more experience and what better way for me to get the fuck out of town for a week.

It's a small community and I have to say that it's quite the baby factory. Almost every female I saw from the age of 16-24 had a kid in a stroller. Aside from teaching, I spend most of my days, hanging out, going for lunch/dinner, shopping and more shopping.

In my mind, I didn't want to go there and take over or cause a power shift. I mainly taught practical applications like safety, how to tie, how to flog, why you shouldn't do this but it's okay to do that type thing. I was not there to impose my ideals or how things "should be done" but rather to be a guide. It'd show him technique and he would put it to use how he saw fit. I also talked to them about their dynamic. What worked for them. What they were seeking to explore. I think sometimes it's important to flesh those ideas out to a third party and get a fresh prospective on things. All in all, it worked out quite well.

While I was there I bought two mouth bits; one rubber and one metal and a burlap sack. The sack it head size and I'll either use that in a play kidnapping I have coming up or for a photo shoot at some point. As well I found some new Harmony Balls (cough...Ben Wa's) since I actually broke my last pair. I'm still kicking myself for not buying that Transformer toy. Yes, the geek in me is still alive.

On July 1st, after a day at the fair with the M/s couple, I spent the rest of my Canada Day with another friend I knew and her other friend. We went for dinner and then to check out the fireworks display. That was an experience. Not the fireworks themselves but the drive there. You see, I drive offensively; her friend drives like there are no other cars on the road. Trouble is, there were lots. I'm shocked we didn't get in at least twenty mild to major car accidents in a ten minute span of fifty some odd blocks.

Before I knew it, it was time to come home. I drove straight back only stopping for gas, washrooms and some fresh fruit stands. Damn good raspberries.
