UPDATE: An end of an era.  Tuesday, June 30, 2009, i asked Sir Lawgiver to release me, and He did.
i returned His collar, and i go forward from here.  W/we are still friendly, so please,

Looking for a roommate in February!

Hello, I have space available and hope to find a lifestyle roommate.  Space will become available at the beginning of February.  I am in the western part of Alexandria (not the Old Town part).  I live in the Landmark neighborhood.  The arrangement is that I have a 2 Bedroom, 2 .5 Bath 2 story apartment in a high rise building.  Right now I am in the Master Bedroom and using the Master Bath with a tub/shower.  I have a friend staying in the converted dining room on a temporary basis. When that space is available again, I am considering using that space for exercise, if that is okay with my roommate. 

I am looking for a roommate to share the apartment with me, and they would be in the second bedroom upstairs which has its own bathroom with a very nice shower.  All utilities are included in the rent, except cable TV, Internet and a Vonage phone line.  I have all those exceptions in place, but the cost would have to be split amongst the roommates.  I love my apartment and don't want to move if I can help it, so I am flexible.  Let me know if you are interested.  I would like to start meeting people, showing the place as soon as possible.  If interested, please contact me here on this list/site, and for fastest response send me a phone number.  Basic info on the apartment and area taken from an ad I have on Washington City Paper website is listed below.

All util. included, shared living space is furnished, and available space is unfurnished, but I am flexible if you have furniture you want to use in the shared space. The apartment has individually controlled HVAC, lots of storage space in a separate unit. Spectacular view and great location close to metro with bus service for those without a car, and easy access to I-395 and I-495 and parking for car owners.  All the amenities are nearby: Schools, Hospitals/Doctor offices, Landmark Shopping Mall and a few other shopping plazas, grocery stores, drug stores (one is open 24-hours), new library, movie theaters, restaurants from fast food to fancy.  Southern exposure great for plants, secure building, party room/fitness center, outdoor pool, and lighted tennis court.  If you want to bring a cat, you can but you'll have to pay a non-refundable deposit to the Landlord (not my rule, their rule). It is a really friendly building with residents of all ages, races and creeds that get along very well and are very neighborly.  The management is great as well.
