About dominomask
I am married. We are open. My husband does not play, but he doesn't mind that I do.
I'm an artist, a gamer geek, a mom, and a submissive.
I do not engage in any level of play with people who require "discretion" due to non-open marital/relationship status. I realize that people who cheat are not horrible evil people, but on the other hand, its not really an incentive for me to trust you.
My particular kink is role-play. Anything outlandish and fantastical and romantic is interesting to me. I do have switch tendencies, but I skew heavily submissive. I am a sensual masochist with an interest in pushing my boundaries.
I like to be polite and respectful, but it is my feeling that until an explicit power exchange arrangement is agreed upon, I am responsible for myself. I'm not impressed by people who try to demonstrate their "true Domness" by ordering me to contact them, or by disrespecting me or my need to look after my own safety. I will not test you or SAM you without explicit invitation, so please don't try to Dominate me until we've both agreed to such a dynamic. Pushy insecurity isn't sexy or intriguing.
I hope I don't sound too cynical. I like for things to be clear because I love people and I like for things to go well.
Some of the words that set off my red flags:
"Real" or "True". Claiming that you are a "true Dom" or that you are only looking for a "real submissive" tells me that you think there's one way to do things (meaning you are probably either very brittle or woefully unimaginitive), that you will therefore make assumptions about what the rules are without discussing them, and that you will probably sneer at me if I can't read your mind. It also tells me that you're hung up on how you compare to others. None of this sounds like someone who is secure enough to be trusted with power.
"Discreet". I do not play with people who are in non-open relationships, and I'm not fond of being the other woman in a "don't ask don't tell" arrangement. I like drama in my scenes but I'm allergic to it in real life. And for the record, "discreet" means subtle, hidden, etc. "Discrete" is a math/science word. You can have discrete variables, but not discrete relationships.
"Real time only". I DO want to meet real people and hopefully have real encounters, but I don't think there's anything wrong with sharing vicarious fantasies to see how our tastes and intellects line up. I love erotica. I like flirting with a purpose. Even real encounters are 90% cerebral, so, I really prefer to do some electronic exchanges before adding the pressure of presence. If that seems like a waste of time to you, you probably aren't into the kind of scenes I like anyway.
"I am a strict Dominate" and other painfully ironic misspellings. I'm not a great speller, heaven knows, and typos happen, but come on. If you wanna show me how on-top-of-things you are, a few seconds of proof-reading aren't too much to ask.
Please understand that I am a contradiction: I passionately love the honor and soulfulness of kink, power exchange, and scening, but at the same time I think it's important to acknowledge (fondly) how silly it is as well, to be able to laugh at ourselves and each other a little. I mean, c'mon. Bright red bottoms are funny as hell. Purple prose is hilarious. Pain is giddy. Being able to laugh means being secure in who you are and not feeling threatened by loving something that, at times, looks and sounds kinda kooky at the same time as it is intimate and powerful.
My Ideal Person: If you're undone by laughter, you're probably too fragile for me. That being said, I will ABSOLUTELY respect stated limits...if there are topics or situations that make you feel vulnerable, I am not out to test or hurt you...quite the opposite. I only SAM when asked, and within bounds.
But the key word there is STATED limits. You have to tell me. Please be ready to own your limits and sensitivities. No two people are kinky exactly the same way. The only rule I've seen that seems like a legitimate constant is KNOW THYSELF, AND BE PREPARED TO EXPLAIN THYSELF TO THY PARTNER. I believe in personal responsibility, mutual respect, intelligent adventure, open communication, and very little else. I have a drive to please, but I really am not inclined to take any shit from people who don't own theirs.
Things I find really sexy: Brains, wit, playfulness, good give-and-take conversational skills, imagination, a reaspect for the absurd, some extra pounds, a love of D & D, a love of small adventures, and courage in the face of new things.
