Greetings.
I have been asked by some to explain more about Gor, what it is, what it means. I can only tell you about Gor from My point of view, but I thought that it might be of some use - maybe of interest to some - to share My own thoughts here.
Gor is a fictional world created by the author John Norman and for anyone who would learn of Gor the books are the place to start. But in the simplest terms, on Gor Men rule and women are slaves, and although there are a few exceptions (there are some male slaves, a few Free Women) this is all you need to know. Gorean society is geared around this simple truth and there is no place for the BDSM central pillar of 'safe, sane and consensual'. This has lead many to declare that Gor is harsh and cruel, and in all truth Goreans openly declare that Their world is not fair - but We do not claim it to be, nor perhaps want it to be.
I discovered Gor while I was a BDSM Master and enjoyed the world I had found, but at the same time knew that something was not right, at least not for Me. Thinking about 'BDSM' and the elements that are combined to make it what it is, I loved the 'BD' part, and the 'DS' too. But it was the 'SM' bit where BDSM and I differed. I am no Sadist, I have no desire to inflict pain for its own sake, or just for pleasure. Yes, the training of slaves must include correction, punishment, discipline - but these things must (for Me) be for education, part of making the slave, or kajira as We call them, what We want them to be. I found that on Gor, there was no sadism, and have yet to find a true masochist here.
It is true that when We punish our slaves, we do it brutally, severely, and perhaps disproportionately so with regard to what ever transgretion has been committed. Maybe it is this that gives Gor its 'harsh' reputation, makes it distrusted by so many - I don't know. But I want My slaves to be perfect according to My own design and I will make them so! I will teach a lesson that will not be forgotten quickly, I will teach a lesson that will not need to be taught again, and once done, the slave and I will move on the the next lesson, and the next.
We own Our slaves, We train them hard and We work them hard, and We enjoy them - Hard! But We don't abuse them and We don't hurt them for fun. Indeed We prize Our female slaves and spend time and effort to see that they are trained to the best of Our ability and they they are provided with what they need to be the best that they can be. But there is no place for masochists on Gor and should one think that they might be disrespectful or disobedient in order to get the treatment that they desire, then they might be very pleased the first time. But believe Me that there would be little chance of a repeat as a girl that will not learn quickly is of no use to Us and will be discarded.
Gor is of course a fictional world, and as is often the case, it does not translate easily into the real one. There have to be concessions, there has to be some sanity, but Gor does work and it is working and those of Us that share and enjoy this lifestyle guard it jealously.
Maybe it is not for you and if so then there is no problem with that, for no one will ever be brought here against their will. But I do not need to defend or justify the choices that I have made or the values that I lead My life by. I do not force these things on anyone, but I will share them with those that express an interest.
Is Gor for you? I don't know. But if you have ever submitted a profile that says you need a Master Who is within a certain age bracket, of a particular type of build, or height, or ethnicity, and especially if you think that this must be a relationship built upon fidelity and monogamy, then I would say no, Gor is not for you. These things are superficial and petty. What matters is that you have the the desire and the fire to serve. Period. It is these things that I look for and if that desire and fire is strong, then the rest will follow. You can not be a slave for half an hour in the later part of the evening and maybe for every other weekend. Gorean slavery is 24/7 and affects all and every area of a slaves life. Gorean slavery is a way of life in its own right, not a 'hobby'. Due consideration is of course made to ensure that all the different aspects of a slaves life mesh together as easily as possible, but the bottom line is that Gorean slaves are owned, they are property, and those are the terms under which you enter Our world.
I have often refered to slaves here using the female gender for this will be the most common arrangement, but there are places for male slaves - but they are not pleasant. Male slaves are to be despised and live a life of humilliation. Males slaves that seek to live as a female doubly so in My eyes! Is such a life what you want? I can handle that!
These are My thoughts only. This is what Gor means to Me, how I see My place on this world. Maybe it is not what you look for, maybe it is not how another Gorean would describe it or feel about it. I do not dispute your right to your own thoughts and therefore I do not see your right to dispute Mine. But as is often said on Gor, the slave may have the last words in any argument, and they are "yes Master!"
