After receiving a few messages on here, I've noticed a rather strange trend. It seems that some people feel the need to use flowery language that reeks of a poor man's Shakespeare. Just because it's an "alternative" lifestyle, doesn't mean that it's LARPing. This is a daily life, and I speak modern English. I speak in complete sentences with purpose.
In my mind, meeting someone would lead to breakfast on Sunday while talking about finances and getting ready to mow the lawn. There are a lot of mundane things in a relationship, and the relationship has to come before all the rules. I don't understand why so many want to start at the end.
Finally, submission does not mean that chivalry must be dead. I want to be treated well. I don't want to be treated like I'm less than. I think domination and submission require an equal level of commitment. There should be dating. There should be openness. There should be humor and playfulness and enjoyment. If it's only about the rules and restrictions from the beginning, what kind of live can you live together?
