Ok web-friends, time for some new words of wisdom. I'm a hot mess, and everyone knows it. Lol. You can usually find me at events around NYC, wandering Central Park, haunting Barnes and Nobles (cries about the 66th street store closing), or just being lazy at my house.
About my name
I picked Camellia because it was a flower that symbolized what I wanted in my life. Tranquility, sense of self, gratitude for my life and the people in my life. I'm not quite there yet. But I hope I will be soon. Maris is Latin for "Of The Sea". I was born of the sea. I'm a Cancer and everything about myself is in tune with the defining characteristics of my water sign. Believe what you want about astrology, but respect my own right to believe in it.
About me
I used to have some good stuff here, but I figured I needed to put something new. A fresh start, you could say. So what about me? I spend the majority of my time reading crappy books, listening to crappy music and watching bad movies. With a sprinkling of the good stuff in there too. I smoke. I'm a huge geek. I'm a Rennie in training, I like odd dice and I recently realized I have a penchant for LARP. I'm a little. I'm a pet. I am multi-faceted and multi-cultural. I cook. I bake. I'm random and weird and awkward. And I'm really tired for apologizing for those things. I like me the way I am, a lot of people don't. I don't much care anymore. I want to be happy. This makes me happy. I won't let anyone run me off again.
As my favorite couple said once, "Your eyes are so green" ... "Not as green as your heart". They're not a very functional couple, granted, but sometimes, that's not so important. My heart is green but not jade, and sometimes black and blue, and not exactly whole, but that's ok right now too. And that rhymed. I don't like rhyming. I'll stop babbling.
Relationships shouldn't be about politics.
