The further I go down this path, I find that it takes a very mature and confident person to walk it. Most are too afraid to even try. I find that I have way more rough edges than I would like to have, and painful experiences are rubbing them off and making me a more confident, happy and complete person.
What I like about the kink community is that it is comprised of individuals who aren't afraid to think think outside the box, on issues such as sex, love and partnerships. Who understand the power dynamics that plays out in every relationship, and embrace those dynamics rather than try to fight or deny them.
Outside of the lifestyle, I like video gaming (and board and card games too), reading random stuff, watching Netflix (especially documentaries and mind provoking movies), gardening (yeah for spring being here!), camping, etc. Also live for intelligent discourse. Music preferences tend to be alternative, techno, rock, and random other stuff.
I would like to meet friends who share common interests. Also you have to deal with the fact that I am extremely honest and don't sugar coat things very much. I appreciate your honesty too.
I see value in both poly and monogamous lifestyles. I have been monogamous-ish most of my life, but really feel at this point in my life that being poly requires more maturity and communication and therefore is harder, and that's why most people stick with monogamy. There are pros and cons to either lifestyle.
Safety and communication first. Considerations for each other.
I mostly date in my age group, and somewhat younger, but not to extremes. Ultimately, maturity and mutual attraction have to be there more-so than age.
