How you know you're from the Midwest:

To lose 21lbs you see a trainer, you go the gym, you go to the pool, you at least go for walks even when you don't want to exercise at all, you eat less garbage, you reduce your cortisol production by reducing your stress and sleeping more. You listen to your body, and you reclaim it as your own. And in my case, from time to time, you sacrifice the love of a good bourbon or whiskey (or few) in the name of also sacrificing those unneeded calories.

Progress. Celebrating the Year of The Horse to the fullest every day. This is my year.

Also, I guess I should disclose a few things... things you should know about me (or that might be helpful):

I am a slow but steady type. I am not attracted sexually to people I don't connect with emotionally and intellectually. Even when I try.

I have pixie short hair. That's never going to be long. So if you have a long hair fetish, I'm not your type.

I've got big boobs and a big butt. I'm formulating a remediation plan. It has been a year of transition and loss, but I am an optimist and a changemaker at my core. I have to believe. And changes will be made.

I can be introverted sometimes. (And by sometimes, I guess I mean often?) I mull things over before I speak, and love being around people where there is the understanding that silence is welcome and non verbal communication is a treat to be shared. Extreme extroverts sometimes make me anxious.

I am attracted to fashionably dressed men who appreciate and keep up with a well dressed, feminine woman.

I miss cuddling.
