Have recently returned from long term assignment. Am splitting time between Austin and Houston. Open to developing new friendships as a result.
Advice for those who are open to it:
�
1.� Try not to be too needy or desperate for a relationship.� Loneliness is a tough thing without a doubt.� Pick some important attributes that attract, apply some�obvious limiting factors, and then live life with joy and hope.�� Be discerning in your choices, but don't be afraid to be open to other things as well.� You never know where the road might take you. You are the pearl in the oyster so let someone discover you, but don't be too easy to shuck.� If you are just a sensation junkie, then party on!
�
2.� Try not to be too "picky" or have "standards" that are�unreasonably high.� Nobody should sell themselves short, but when does it really become being judgmental of others?� If your subset of interests is too narrow or your own limiting attributes are�brought into focus then be aware�that there are some statistical truths to be dealt with.� Remember that other people have just as much right to a cull factor as you do�and they don't need to be invited to apply it ruthlessly. That is another potential recipe for loneliness.� Discernment is not the same thing as judgmental. Be discerning in your choices�but don't limit yourself needlessly. If you are just a sensation junkie, then party on!
