I prefer to meet new people in a group setting and/or local lifestyle events, parties, munches, classes, etc. If you ask me to meet me for the first time one on one, I will likely say no. Also, requests for anything "discrete" (i.e., you're keeping a secret from someone important) will be met with a no as well.
