To Me, Dominant is such a misused word in the Lifestyle that it has become a pejorative.
In My experience, the stereotypical hairpulling sadistic bully or punisher often puts off T/those who would sincerely enjoy the balanced, caring and truly loving D/s relationship.
That said, I have found in My time, as a “D” the most rational approach to building a successful relationship is to have full and open communication between U/us at the beginning. W/we must never live in a vacuum of not being directly express our needs, wants and desires. I have had many experiences in My time in the Lifestyle and really prefer a protocol based relationship. It allows for change from the initial wants/desires parameters and spells out for B/both the level of emotional intensity required for the “moment.”
The qualities I will bring to O/our relationship are honesty, loyalty, lots of humor, a loving nature, commitment, financial and emotional stability (I’m very laid back), adventurous times (sexually and not), fairly well read and of course - My true respect and passion for you as a Woman. Having been born in the south and “schooled” by my grandmother – I am sincerely respectful of Women (yes - I will open the car door for you and bring flowers). I will always be open to your needs – I realize they will change as W/we grow together - as will My needs also. you will be my friend, companion, confidant and Lover. I’m not looking for slave or slut. you will never be used as a doormat – too disrespectful of you as Woman. Sexually, I have hard limits in BDSM, which I do not cross. Remember – I’m not the hairupulling Neanderthal. O/ours is to expand joint goals and passion – both in and out of the bedroom.
