About Topsecret

Did you hear about the prostitue that had leprosy? Her business fell off. This profile has been designed in such a way that even Evelyn Wood would slow down to carefully read it. For those of you under 45 you may need to google that name. Did I just age my self? But seriously folks...

Some of the people here lament that this has become a meat market. I disagree with them saying it has become a meet market where those of similiar minds canshare thoughts and wisdom. This is an interest of mine and not my life. It is possible to be Dominant and submissive with out resorting to treating each other like animals.

There isa lot to be said forthe simple pleasures of life....a cup of coffee of a quiet Saturday morning or thunderstorm off in the distance or a bird splashing in a puddle. That's me, rather simple. I'd like to know you as a person first.

A parting word with a quote from Abe Lincoln...better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

And one from Grouch Marx...
groucho: So, you got any kids?
female contestant: Yes, Groucho, I have eleven children.
groucho: Eleven?! Did you say eleven kids?
female contestant: Well, I love my husband.
groucho: Lady, I love my cigar but I take it out of my mouth once in a while.

A sight today sparked memories of things I've seen at work that left a lasting impression. Sights that compel you to imagine their lives and their futures. Things that whisper in your ear no matter how bad your day was somebody has it worse. First was the man, soldier, that told me he had a brain injury. He asked me to speak to him clearly and slowly. How humbling that he had to make such a request of me. Another was a family traveling with their twin teenage daughters. I'm not into young girls. I did admire them from behind. Their identical outfits, their strait black, shoulder length hair. Anticipation was building the see their faces. They turned,,,,,and one could not help but notice they both had Downs syndrome. As a parents I can say we are always proud of our children....regardless. There probably would not be weddings or college for them. Still there was love the parents had for these ladies as they tended to them. Lastly was another wounded warrior, a Marine I think, sitting in his wheelchair. Armless and legless, still a young man in his 20s sitting in the sun that cold winter day. His father was there as they journeyed somewhere. He said something to his father. The man reached for a cigarette for him. Lit it, then held it to his lips so his son could smoke.

I wonder about them, all four of them. Wonder how they are doing and hope life has been kinder to them. Be sure to thank a veteran today.

A friend of mine retired this week after almost 40 years of work. He and others came to is in a merger back in 2000. Being the trainer back then it was my responsibility get them up to speed after the basic training. I shook this mans hand for the last time Thursday. Then said thank you to me. He said back in 2000 during the merger I was the only one that showed them kindness and offered help. You never know what kind of impression you are making on some one.

Oh, good news in the garden. A rose was transplanted back in September. It wilted and withered. Working this weekend I thought of removing it. After digging it out I saw it was developing new roots. Great news!

A beautiful early fall day. While mowing i doscovered some late season raspberries the birds had not found. Large, warm and sweet...life's simple pleasures

Amazing when you meet some on here and you click, you mesh...it makes all thngs wonderful...

Thank an un-sung hero...a volunteer fireman or EMT. They give up their time to train and help us when needed. Usually their efforts go un-noticed.

June 1, 2012....my daughter was married. The day could have been better. The weather was dramatic but that only added to the day. The venue was perfect. Looking around I could see all of her little touches to the day. Both my kids are the best thing I'll be known for.

Had a thought today at work as I noted the woman about me. i felt like a raptor surveying it's prey..in a good way though

Something for your Saturday eve as the sun slides over the horizon
