Is it feasible to just love?

why do the past experiences of love and friendship and the travesties that ensue consume us and, therefore, destroy us? why do we not let ourselves learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of others, as opposed to letting them shatter our fragile beings?

i have survived things that some people only read about... my struggles, i have decided, have made me stronger. i made the choice to learn from them and not to let them control me. i cannot begin to describe the dangers of allowing oneself to fall...

these people we once allowed in our lives... why do we let them completely stave off a chance of happiness? why do we do this to ourselves? we groom ourselves, spend hundreds of dollars on making ourselves better, we become selfish in that we sacrifice our bodies and safety for a good time... yet when it comes to the fundamentals of happiness we turn and bolt the other direction.

this is it, people.

one shot at life.
one chance to experience the comedies and tragedies.
one opportunity to bask in the glory.
one curtain call.
one jump out of that soaring plane.

remember what is important! prioritize.
