About TheSkylark
I'm a Dom who is native to the area and is interested in meeting local female subs (Duh). I am not an "edge" play kind of person but very much enjoy some of the more traditional activites along the lines of spanking, light bondage, structured rules to follow etc. Also not interested in doormats/zombies (they tend to drool) or people looking to be "on" 24/7/365. I have interests and a life outside of this, and so should you. I have a fair bit of experience although by no means a know it all and always up for learning new things.
I am interested in a lot of different hobbies and pursuits including sports (both playing and watching) music and other cultural events. I enjoy everything from going out a night with friends to just hanging out and reading a book or watching movies.
I'd also like to say that I don't blame any of the women here if they get burnt out by the crushing load of email or chat requests. Having a lot of female friends involved in the community I've seen firsthand the kind of crap you have to put up with. Unfortunately, the internet allows some people to act out fantasy personalities with little repercussion for their crude or obnoxious behavior. But, I'm afraid that is the price we all have to pay in exchange for being involved in the website or community at large.
I think ultimately you have to try and keep a sense of humor about this, like most things in life. Finding someone who is a match for you within a fairly limited set of people can be tough so you have to remember not too take it, or yourself, too seriously or you'll end up being the crazy cat lady or the dude wearing a tinfoil hat to keep aliens from stealing his brain waves. |

Hope everyone had a happy (and safe!) 4th. If you did, lets make it a good rest of the weekend as well and make sure everyone has a DD or a cab ride home if drinking. Have fun everyone :) |

Ok, can whoever is screwing around with the weather controls knock it off please? Its already mid April and we're still getting snow/sleet. I know this is Minnesota, but come on, this is getting ridiculous! Not even enough snow for sledding...what a rip. |

Getting ready for a big trip and I always get the sneaking suspicion that I've forgotten something. Like I'll do all my packing and hotel reservations and flight plan etc, and then show up only to realize that I'm not wearing any shoes.
But regardless of any footwear issues, I'm heading for europe for three weeks so hopefully the weather holds and the dollar doesn't go into the tank anymore then it already has! |

I just wanted to pass along my thoughts, condolences, and best wishes to everyone and anyone affected by the bridge collapse here in the Twin Cities. Just stunning on all counts and hopefully this leads to something positive like an increased interest in safety and maintenance of our public roads. |

It is always fascinating to me how many people in the "community" believe that adding a capital letter to the front of their name endows them with amazing special powers. I have no problem with people who take a harder line stance on issues then I do, but there is a difference between having beliefs and using them to beat others up with. I'm amazed by some people's ability to instantly determine who is "real" and who is a "fake" as far as being a sub or Dom etc.
I hear over and over again from female friends how they are called "fake" when they don't conform to some random person's definition of a label. This is especially interesting to me when that person knows absolutely nothing about the "fake" in question. Seems to me that a lot of these people think that being behind a computer screen gives them the power and authority that is lacking in their real lives. |
