i have come to the conclusion that superficial internet hook ups are more trouble then they are worth. for the most part the compatability factor seperates the wheat from the chaff relatively quickly.
but once in a great while, one stumbles upon that one profile, where everything clicks. interests, location, appearance....just CLICK.
initial contact is made. and, low and behold, the intellects match as well. beauty AND brains...what a deadly combination.
the conversatins runs the gamut of topics, from sports, to msic, to the individual pasts.....and we all have one. but themutual attraction is there...and it grows.
soon contact is made on other, more vanilla mediums....cute little notes are exchanged. text messages follow, phone calls..the euphoria rises.
finally a date is set...for the first face to face meeting. and it is....
a no show.
no call, no message, no email, no nothing. the fall is deadly after allowing yourself to build the feelings sooo high into the cybersky.
after two days, the chance online meeting...one is hurt, but masks it magnificently, playing it cool. the excuses sound plausible, the phone was left in the bosses car, your number was misplaced, the car was broken.....
a second date is arranged, and low and behold, the same thing happens. now tis a write off.
but she calls and is still friendly and explaines with another plausible excuse why she stood you up.....but it falls on deaf ears. you ain't buying it no more....
but the lines of communication are still open. a week passes, then another, and eventually it comes out that her "baggage" was just released from the Pen, and her idea of "closure" involves the opening of her thighs....
after the initial shock and flash of anger, mirth follows. an impish joy at the colossal blunder this person has just made....again.
some people truely do get what they deserve...but a spanking would have done just as well.
