So I arrived in Nashville about three and a half years ago in december 04.  I didn't really know what to expect when coming down here.  To be honest, I had a lot of trepedation about it.  But I heard so many rumours of southern hospitality that they did set my fears aside a little.  Though that didn't last long.  I've always had problems making friends, let alone relationships of any kind.  But that phrase was never more true than when I came here.  I realize I'm not the most conventional person in the world.  But I think if people gave me a chance to get to know me, they would understand and realize what kind of person I am.  Recently I thought had made a friend in town and things were going well.  We ended up talking on the phone earlier than I like to.  but I decided to sacrifice my comfort for a possibly nice conversation with someone cool.  ANd that's how it turned out to be.  W#e had a nice conversation and when we hung up, I thought things were great but now I don't know.  I amy be blowing things out of proportion, which has been the case a few times.  but I have a weird feeling about this.  And sometimes my gut instincts with people tend to be reliable.  I was certainly  correct about my mother's latest husband.  Even though Hellen Keller could have seen that he wasn't alright.  I hope she's fine, and I certainly hope I didn't offend her in any way.    In any case, I wish her good luck in anything that she does.
