Life is a bridge where the first missed step may be our last.
Every footfall brings us closer to our destiny. Every movement is an action emblazened upon our memory. Every choice becomes a gasping moment in time.
Is it better to dare running the sun or to play it safe and never learn what it is to test our limits.
For myself I'd rather die once than those thousand times the poets talk about, saddly god gave me the native intellegence to do both. Courage is saddly the lack of ability to imagine what may happen. I've spent most of my life upon the highwire, bright enough to know I may fall but damned if I wouldn't dare the heights anyway.
But what good does it do look back to see a nice safe sane life streaming out behind like a comets tail, when it should be a blazing glory of triumphs and failures, with small little miracles and memories sparkling in the wake.
I used the word 'sane', I mean that in the truest meaning of the word: of making rational choices. It has become code for gameplayers and the those who saddly need to be committed somewhere, I am neither. However I have learned by hard lesson to do things the rational way only leads to rational rewards and moments of rational joy.
I want more than that. I want to remember why we always ran as when we were kids, just because it felt good, to jump off the high dive just so I know I did it. To grab a girl, in an age of feminism and remind her what it is to be a woman in the truest darkest memory of the race and in time to have her grab me in return to remind me to thank god for making me a man.
