I believe a true submissive will simply obey. We can dwell on philosophical aspects, but the fact remains that some people just find comfort in simulating not having the burden of free choice. I like carrying this burden.
Some would argue this sort of relation is unhealthy. That the objective of the sadist of transforming the other in an inanimate thing to be used, is doomed to failure, as such objectification could mean the inability of the other to really experience suffering (inanimate things cant suffer), which is the base of sadism. But empirical evidences seen to show otherwise, as members (in both poles) of BDSM relations tend to be psychologically healthier than people living in normal relations. To a more primitive, but still valid, rousseaunian point of reasoning, experiencing dominant-submissive relations on a controlled fashion may be a way of unleashing some repressed instincts, leading to more stable ways of living in face of societys constant repressions.
But ultimately, my truth is that I like being in such relations. Its, undeniably, part of me. An axiom of my personality. Therefore, I must accept it, for even though Im a dominant I must be submissive to at my own core ideals.
