Well seems this week has been on an upswing thus far. I finished the English part of the college assesment test and rocked it hard.. scored perfectly on it!! Though tomorrow is gonna be the rough one.. Math.. it has never been my strong point.. so all free time i been having has been to refresh/study what i am able to. we will see how it pays off! night Aall |

i was never really sure what to post here. Was it supposed to pertain to the lyfestyle or everyday things? i just came to the conclusion this is my space so it can pertain to what ever comes to mind ~chuckles~ unless otherwise directed. These last few weeks have been INSANE! i was awarded a small scholarship i applied for, so been seting up meetings with college counselors, oreintations, assessment tests ectera ectera. It has been nearly 20 years since i been in school so it all has been a whirlwind of things to get done and on last minute status as well.. so hustle hustle hustle. i posted last March i started cycling and up tilll last say the longest distance i have ridden was 48 miles. Well friends through the bike club i joined coerced me in taking the entrance ticket of some one who canceled for the 34th Amtrak ride, which i did. Well i blew away a whole set of previous "records" The first being longest distance which was 48 miles, new record is now 103 miles. Second being total time riding which was 3 hrs, new record being 7hrs, 24mins. Next is longest distance without stopping which was 24 miles, new one 30 miles. Next is top speed which was 30.1mph, to a new record of 45.9mph. Also add in the hill which was 2.5 mile climb at mile 80 and a fairly decent incline, especially since i havent done any climbs on the bike yet! Now people passed me BUT i passed people. Those that got off their bikes and sat, those walking their bikes up the hill and even those riding their biles. yes i had tears running down my face but i reached down deep and make it to the top without stopping or getting off the bike. This was my first century ride and i must say... i am quite proud of myself! *shameless boast!* |

Been an interesting week for sure. This is my first entry and not entirely sure what to write... soo.. will jot a few happenings.. Last March i slowly started gettng into cycling.. and this lat weekend i rode the green river trail.. it was gorgous.. and my furthest distance thus far.. 48miles. Not too bad.
On another note.. i have dropped in an old chat i havent been to in quite some time.. met a very dynamic Man Who directed me here.. quite appreciative for that, so just wnted to say thank You!
the changes i made this year truly have opened so many new paths.. i can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. |
