I love my carpentry class. I am in custom furniture and cabinet making "like a stereo cabinets, book shelves, hope chests...." but I also know how to make kitchen cabinets I just find that my creative side gets to be explored more when I work on furniture there are so many possibilities. I've always liked to work with my hands both building things, drawing, painting, massages anything that keep my hands busy I enjoy. my instructor told me that I am doing extremely well and that he could easily see me owning my own business someday. I'm loving what I am learning and I can see myself doing it for as long as I can move. To me working with wood can be practical but also art at the same time. I have 4-7 months left of school (I have already been here for 10 months) and once I get work experience outside of school I feel like I can take care of my Mistress almost as much as she takes care of me. |
