	About SummitCityMunch The Summit City Munch is a group based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We are a discreet, friendly group that caters to people in all aspects of the BDSM lifestyle. We meet once a month in a public setting in a private area. What we have to offer is a support, education, and social group for adults who share these interests. It is our goal to provide a comfortable, safe, and tasteful environment where one can meet others of like mind. We also hold Play Parties in a private dungeon. We are accepting of many lifestyles, sexualities and kinks and ask that those who join be accepting of others' lifestyles and/or fetishes. We are not here to judge. Though we are accepting of others we also want to remind you that we are first and foremost a BDSM lifestyle group. We also ask that you respect those members who are not "out" within the community and need to be discreet. Some of our members are very out about their lifestyle, but others are not. What you hear or see in the group stays in the group! We keep our membership confidential. Though we encourage those seeking to meet others to attend we do not play matchmaker. We welcome the interested, the inquisitive, and the discerning to join us as we explain, explore, and enjoy. From newbie to veteran, we welcome all those with a sense of decorum to attend. We ask that you behave and dress in a vanilla (modest and respectable) manner while we are in public. Message us to find out when our next meeting is and the location of the meeting. Never attended a meeting? No problem we do require you come to the public meeting first unless you are known to the officers and you arrange with them to attend only the private portion of the meeting. Make your desire to attend the private party known to the officers and, if there is enough room for you/your group, they will give you directions to the after party. You can subscribe to our journals, to get information on when our next munch is and if there is a presenters scheduled and who they are!

This month will be a semi-private party so if you would like to join us for this meeting please contact the officers by emailing SummitCityMunch-owner@yahoogroups.com and let us know who you are, who and how many you would like to bring and what dish you will be bringing. Right now we have hamburgers and hotdogs. We need to get a head count and what everyone is bringing so we can make sure to have a variety of foods.

Our discussion for this meeting will be "Sensual Kink". This encompasses using candles for a romantic atmosphere as well as wax play, etc. We hope to see you there and most of all HAVE FUN! :)

We had a great time at the last meeting and had quite a few new members. The White Elephant went over well and was a lot of fun!

The next Summit City Munch is scheduled for Saturday December 13th at 6pm till about 8. Then move to a private location for the after party.

At the December Munch After Party there will be a White Elephant Gift Exchange for those who wish to participate. For those who do not know what a White Elephant is, I have included an overview below. Please limit gift value to around $10; $15 max. Gifts may be vanilla in nature such as a bottle of wine, candles, a bath set or more adventurous like a set of nipple clamps, candle play supplies, a gift card Let your imaginations run wild and have some fun.

All participants bring their gift to "the pile." Gifts are wrapped, but are not labeled to reflect a sender or recipient. Gifts are typically inexpensive, humorous items or used items from home; the term white elephant refers to a gift whose cost exceeds its usefulness.

All participants draw a number (from a hat, perhaps) to determine their order. The participant with #1 unwraps any gift from the pile and then shows it to everyone. Each successive participant, in the order determined from the drawing, can either 1) "steal" an already opened gift (if there's one they really like) or 2) be adventurous and go for a wrapped gift from the pile. If the participant chooses to steal, the person whose gift is stolen now repeats their turn and either 1) steals another person's gift (they cannot immediately steal back the gift that was just stolen from them) or 2) unwraps a new gift. This cycle of stealing can sometimes continue for a long time, until a new gift is chosen, at which point the turn is passed to the participant with the next number from the drawing. (An alternative to the drawing is to sit in a circle and take turns in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.)

Since items can be stolen, the item in your possession is not yours until the game is over (e.g., a food item cannot be eaten until the game is over). However, this is often amended with a rule declaring a gift "dead" or "safe" after it has been stolen a certain number of times (usually two or three). This helps the process go more smoothly (avoiding, for example, the hypothetical scenario of the same gift being stolen by every successive participant) and limits the disadvantage of being among the first to choose gifts.

Our meeting yesterday finally broke up around 3:30 (or so) when the last people left (kinda) if you don't count standing outside chatting. :) It's been awhile since we laid the format out for people so I will do it today in this post.
What to Expect

SCM was founded because the community expressed a desire for a Munch that would exercise discretion. The City of Fort Wayne is know as ?the city of churches?; its only common sense to take this approach. We expect our members to dress appropriately and to act with manners, especially while in public. Please remember that our behavior has an effect on our other members? reputations. Ideally, should you be seen in public while attending SCM; there should be no concern for your reputation.

SCM meets the second Saturday of each month for dinner, preferably utilizing a private room in a local restaurant. It has been observed that when friends would gather, they would spend the first hour or so talking about work, friends and family. Since this type of conversation is benign, it is more than appropriate public dinner conversation. Since public conversations can be overheard, we reserve the lifestyle conversation for later. Many people are understandably nervous about attending their first Munch. Many find this level of discretion comforting. You are also welcome to contact the officers and they will assign someone to meet you at the door, escort you to the group, sit with you, answer your questions and ensure you are properly introduced to everyone.

After dinner, members and their guests will retire to a private location for lifestyle discussion and if desired, some play time in an equipped dungeon. The after party is free of charge. Due to our concern for discretion, people new to the group will need to speak with an officer before they will be allowed to attend this portion of the evening. There will be a topic of discussion. Refreshments, cookies, coffee and tea will be available. You are welcome to bring something nonalcoholic to drink or something to share. The evening will end as people retire home for the evening, often sometime after midnight.

If you can not/do not want to join us at the restaurant please contact us here to get the email address to contact the SCM Officers, to discuss what has to happen prior to attending a munch if you have never attended a public meeting.

That being said our next meeting will be Dec 13, 2008!

Our next meeting will be this Saturday November 8th starting at 6pm. We will be meeting at The Point restaurant inside the Fort Wayne Truck Stop (at the corner of Coliseum Blvd and US30/Goshen Rd). We have a private room that we meet in and you can get a meal for under $10. We look forward to see many known faces and some new ones as well!

What to expect at a SCM meeting;Please keep it vanilla in the restaurant.

The fun will happen after dinner when the group has moved to a private location for discussion and dungeon time. The private portion of SCM starts after dinner, around 8pm. You are welcome to bring your fetish-wear and toy-bag just leave them in the car at the restaurant you will be given the opportunity to change when we arrive at the dungeon space.

Never attended a meeting? No problem we do require you come to the public meeting first unless you are known to the officers and they give you arrange with them to attend only the private portion of the meeting. Make your desire to attend the private party known to the officers they will give you directions to the after party if we will have enough room for you/your group.

So far our numbers are staying steady in the 20ish area for our munchs! The munch on the 12th was great we had good time both at dinner and the after party :) .

Last nights munch was great, We had a very good turn out for both portions of the munch. The discussions were great lasting to about 1 AM. Our next munch will be on Feb 9, 2008. Great meeting last night The last member let around 1 or 1:30 am. :) We had a few new people join us & all of us had a wonderful time We want to thank everone who came out & made the night so special!

We have a speaker for our Dec 8 meeting! Sir Joe from Indy will be presenting for us. The topic I believe is How to explain to vanillas what it is we do. The evening will look like this Dinner at a nice restaurant, then we will retire to the dungeon area for our speaker to give his presentation. After the presentation is over the dungeon party for the board members and thier guest will start. If you are not a board member you are welcome to speak with one of our officers durring the dinner or just before the presenter speaks, to be invited to the dungeon party. Again remember dinner is in a vanilla atmospher please dress accordingly, if you wish to wear fetish clothing please have it in your car and you will be allowed to change into it at the dungeon area. If you want to join us for the dungeon party, you are welcome to bring your toy bag but please leave it in your car till we reach the dungeon space!

The munch yesterday was awesome, we had over 20 people attend! We met a few new people and hope they come back for more!.
The speaker had to cancel at the last minute but has promised to reschedule again at a latter date! Two of our members did an impromptu discussion on different play styles and approaches to the lifestyle, They did an awesome job! The play party after wards lasted until about 1:30.

For the November 17th meeting we have lined up a wonderful speaker for you. Her name is Mora Zoronakov and she is going to be doing a presentation on getting to know your submissive and how to seriously mindf*ck them. This presentation will take place in the dungeon space.

Mora is a writer, tarot reader and modern-day philosopher who has studied and self taught most of her knowledge about esoteric topics since 1996.

Presenting on the topics of Dark Paganism, sexuality, psychic vampirism and other subjects of interest, she has spoken at many events, including Pagan Pride Day celebrations.

She is a writer for The Ninth Gate Magazine, has been published in the anthology Magic on the Edge: An Anthology of Experimental Occultism edited by Taylor Ellwood from Immanion Press, Vampires In Their Own Words: An Anthology of Vampire Voices edited by Michelle Belanger from Llewellyn, Dark of the Night and Bloody Kisses, both from Dark Moon Press and is working with other publishers and editors for upcoming fiction and non-fiction pieces slated for publication. Other accomplishments include hosting the first Pagan Pride Day event in Findlay for 2003, continuing that tradition for 2004 and 2007 and assisting with the Pride celebrations in 2005 and 2006. In 2002 she began a study group to promote Pagan learning and shared information and, although quiet, is still involved.

Her future aspirations include completing a Therian Tarot deck with anthropomorphic artist K. Lawrence and writing books based on her belief structure.
