The nature of this site and others like it and their disparate elements increasingly baffles. why should it be the case that with a love of bdsm all else is thrown out of the window? for me the pre requisite for intimate bdsm experiences is a loving passionate relationship. it's not compulsory but infinitely preferable. As for relationship prerequisites:
trust, loyalty, passion, an open heart, spontaneous affection and tender loving care should be on everyone's list not only mine and yet I see them seldom mentioned within the confines of this web site. their absence continues to baffle me.

I'm not sure that lightening strikes the same person twice in a lifetime - and if it did would you want to be struck by lightening twice? So why am I here?
I guess on the off chance and to learn more about the dark side of my nature by observing others

I guess I am one of those that believe that even pain should be painted, like a canvas, or sequenced like the light and shade of a good poem or lyric, intentioned, measured, part of a sweeping range of emotions - not derranged!

I'm a little bit of a restless soul and I guess always felt a square peg in a round hole. There is a lot to be said for occassional and casual and I can do that. I am however a person who functions at their best with a soul mate, a co-conspirator, a best friend, a lover, and yes a love slave!

I'm practical, self sufficient, resourceful and yes I guess imposing and dominant, but only in a natural self assured way and not as the result of posing in leather strides with a riding crop. And to label myself as a top, or dom does little credit to the rest of my personality of which I am equally proud

The picture of a person is far more complex than their sexual preferences and in an ideal world our sexuality is simply another part of who we are. an interesting and individual blend. In a kinder world, there would be no need for web sites such as these.

It says sensual and caring on the top of this profile. this means i DO care about those around me whether i have met them or not.
to all this i should add:
1. i have no desire to beat a woman within an inch of her life and feel that a good course of therapy is required if someone either wants to give or receive that sort of treatment
2. someone who plays so hard to get that they don't write is unlikely to get my attention
3. someone who shows all the signs of wanting to live with me forever before spending a week with me definately needs a course of therapy!
4. i love fun, i love to play - being here is partly about exploring that side of me and what that means,
5. being here is also partly about exploring my sexuality and the sensuality of the 'dark side' that draws me

there are no rules to the game of life. no procedures or patterns, this isn't a game of dungeons and dragons, i do not fit in a box that says master and i do not believe people should fit in a box that says 'sub' ...this is real life and far more complex and interesting...
