I am a creature of constant changewith every day brings a new piece of information or an experience that causes my continual growth and evolution. I am not the Dominant I was yesterday, nor the one I will be tomorrow. I can never learn or grow enough, as I believe that nobody ever learns everything and, thus, becomes a true expert.I have been a member of several public BDSM groups and clubs in the Baltimore, DC, and Philly areas over the 15+ years of my being involved in this lifestyle. Currently, I have decided to focus my energies on more private pursuits rather than on the public lifestyle.
I am also an SM educator, having taught classes in play safety to leather groups in MD, VA, DC, PA, and DE as well as private tutoring in the ways of flogging and whips.My interests in the lifestyle include, but are not limited to sensual play, bondage, some edgeplay, and sensory deprivation. I consider myself to be an occasional sadist - that is, pain is only good within the confines of play if both parties are into it. If not, then I can easily pass that on by.Im also quite fond of educating others about this lifestyle. I bristle at new submissives who want to be trained. A submissive first needs to be educated about what the lifestyle entails why we do what we do before they can even hope to be trained. I am a focused and driven person, but at the same time I try to be fair-minded and open. Im courteous to those who show the same in kind to me, and rabidly devoted to my friends, my only demand is to be shown simple, human decency. Expecting anything else immediately is unrealistic and absurd. If you got this far in my profile, then I am flattered. You may have just earned a cookie, courtesy of me. Yes, I can be a bit silly at times too, but lets face it, this whole thing is, first and foremost, supposed to be FUN! If you arent having fun and enjoying it, then why do it? I posted the following on another fetish personals site, but after what I've been seeing here lately, this post is just as applicable on collarme.
Dominant vs. Dominate
I browse a lot of profiles around here, mostly out of sheer boredom. However, in my recent browsings, I've seen something on numerous profiles that really gets under my skin - the improper use of the word "dominate." Allow me to explain...
In these cases, I have seen femsubs post something to the effect of "I seek a dominate man to..." This is just WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!! What you SHOULD be saying is that you seek a DOMINANT man. Here's the difference:
Dominant:
–adjective (or noun in the BDSM lifestyle) ruling, governing, or controlling; having or exerting authority or influence: dominant in the chain of command.
Dominate:
–verb (used with ) to rule over; govern; control.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop saying in your profiles that you're looking for a dominate or a dominate man/woman/etc. This makes absolutely no sense. |
