Since NYC boyhood, D/s has been the sexual approach in my life. Had a marriage and several relationships integrating it. Familiar with some of the BDSM clubs and organizations around the country.
I prefer it to be a fun part of an overall normal, healthy life. Perhaps an LTR environment of loving Domestic Discipline relative to a mutually-agreed-to set of highly structured rules -- a sophisticated "Spencer Spanking Plan." Yes, the rules are tightened so that failure is a necessary consequence of her human nature (thank God!) And there is play. But since I must care for our overall happiness, if I observe her constantly obsessing when she shouldn't be, she'll soon learn to "think vanilla" when appropriate...:)
She must be smart, accomplished, loyal, funny, honest, feminine, independent. Must have high self esteem (and thus, must probably be HWP.) Beginner and/or low pain threshold fine; I enjoy teaching. I have to have full respect and love for her, so she has to merit it. And spiritual; no Goth/Satanic stuff (my Higher Power might not like it...:))
I am experienced in many of the BDSM fetishes tabulated on this site, but any of them must work with my partner or I cannot enjoy it; thus they are not a requirement, but to be experimented with. There may be pain, but ultimately she must find lust for each such new thing -- that lovely giving-up of self for me.
