I receive quite a lot of messages from people whose main selling point is that they are “a real dom” and I really don’t understand why they bother.  Obviously I’m going to be suspicious of this since it’s coming from the claimant himself. After all, being a dom is not an objective credential or license. It’s like promising, “I have charisma” or “I’m a noble being,” only worse, because it’s even more subject to interpretation and doesn’t sound half as funny. I also hear the term used in contrast to a player, a shark or a wannabe, which confuses me. Why should these titles be mutually exclusive? If you are a dom who engages in scenes with multiple women with little emotional attachment, doesn’t that also make you a player? Similarly, if you are ruthless, dishonest and like to prey on weaker individuals, aren’t you a shark regardless? And what the hell is a dom wannabe? One dom defined it as: “those who think that if they sign up as a dom on a site such as collarme, women would get down on their knees and give them a blow job.” Hmm… but what exactly is wrong about wanting that?  Personally, I’m not that interested in players since I have a jealousy problem. I’m also fairly confident that I won’t fall prey to sharks. So send me the wannabes, as long as they spare me the lectures.

Childhood -- the last American sanctuary. In this age where every sexual taboo (think: homosexuality, bdsm, even bestiality) is easily overcome, pedophilia is the one remaining sexual perversion that most find unacceptable. But isn't the concept of "childhood" as we understand today really a myth constructed fairly recently in wealthy nations? Throughout human history, child labor, sex with minors, minors being married off as soon as they reach puberty has always been a reality.

I remember riding the crowded subways in a junior high school uniform. Men would feel me up. I loved it. Was it child abuse? Probably. But children are sexual creatures, just as adults are. In our desire to protect the innocent, we forget that. (And why does every sexual act have to be considered abuse when it comes to minors? Someone kindly enlighten me).

I am fascinated by Michael Jackson, specifically his desperate pursuit to reclaim his lost childhood, which is evident from the construction of his Neverland. I think he is our modern day Ludvig II of Bavaria, trying hard to immerse himself in his lonely fantasy world. I am fond of him, much more so than those adults who in their zealous and pesky quest to protect children, had forgotten what it felt like to be a child once upon a time...
