A few thoughts about D/s...
I'm not sure if I should feel amused or annoyed when I read through profiles from some submissives and slaves.

There is a common thread of want-to-be submissives or slaves saying "I'm useless, I need someone to look after me." The implication being that they can't bring anything to a D/s relationship, but deserve the time and energy, effort and attention of a dominant anyway. Or want to be (physically) imprisoned long-term.

There is precedent of course - in many historical periods, you could judge a man's status by the fact that his wife and/or daughter(s) did not need to do hard work. Pale skin on a woman was the sign that she wasn't required to work outside; extra padding meant that she not only had plenty of food, but that she didn't have to do heavy labour.

Nevertheless, slave women did plenty of work...

There are those profiles, though, which at least remind me that there are would-be submissives and slaves who have some understanding - and say "I have experience organising things, and will bring my secretarial skills to you", "I have farm that I will make your home", "I want to serve even in non-kinky ways, and can be a domestic servant,", or even "I'm young, I don't know what I can do yet, but I am willing to learn and serve you the best I can." If the women who wrote those profiles read this, I sincerely hope you find a dominant worthy of the gift(s) you offer...

D/s is a two way street. If you want Domination, offer submission. If you want a Master (or Mistress), be willing to serve. If you want somewhere to start, get a copy of Miss Abernathy.

Tasks small and/or boring - you're not doing them for your own pleasure. You're doing them to make your Dominant's life easier. You're doing them as well as you possibly can because your every moment becomes a moment to give your submission.
