So can we just agree, you and me, just to get this out of the way upfront, that we're both pretty fucked up? I mean the worst, clumsiest, clammiest thing we can do is start taking each other too seriously. So many people strut around stiff-necked, chest puffed, steady talking nonsense they're just parroting from somebody else anyway and acting like Moses just come down from the Mount. I don't understand why they want to do that to themselves.
I'm a 34 year old dude who has read a lot of books, seen a lot of places, made a lot of mistakes, fought a lot of battles with himself (won some, lost some, emerged from all of them stronger), and who has developed into a weird weirdly charming dude. I play tennis, I can quote old movies until you want to punch me, I write, I still love old school Dungeons and Dragons, I play lacrosse or soccer on weekends, and still go to punk shows. I'm an unabashed book and music dork with wicked wide ranging tastes so if you're passionate about art, literature and music we may have some predilections in common.
I'm a submissive dude and a masochist, but I don't have one of those deliriously long and creepily specific checklists of things anyone I talk to Must Be Into. I like finding myself at the hands of a cruel woman with a wicked sense of humor and seeing what she wants to do to me. I love games, especially when they go too far and I'm begging for them to stop but She's still having oh-too-much-fun.
But to be totally candid, the kinky stuff takes a back seat right now as far as I'm concerned. I mean I will still talk about it, still write about it, still do it when I have the chance. It's just that right now I'm mostly interested in meeting quirky, funny people with something to say and a panache for saying it. |
