I am a dominant. In BDSM, a dominant is the partner in a the relationship who takes the active or controlling role over that of the submissive partner. The dominant is charged with guiding and helping the submissive in their growth.
I believe in the natural order, which states that males have a predisposition to be more dominant, and females have a predisposition to be submissive. I do not believe that males are more intelligent or have more wisdom then females, but are considered physically stronger. That male dominance is a generality, not an absolute.
However, being a Dominant has nothing in common with being domineering, in fact one is a contradiction of the other. A dominant does not posses an unbridled supremacy or limitless power. The dominant posses only the power in which his submissive has granted to him.
