About RevelryDC
There are a few versions of what to tell when it comes to writing "About Me". A quick survey from friends will tell you I'm a bit weird at first ...though I'd like to think in a good way, as I find "normal" quite boring, and they do tend to say that they had me figured the wrong way anyway. I can be quite blunt/direct as my "be very nice" filter does have a habit of turning itself off from time to time. Having said that, I am also a very cheeky conversationalist. I enjoy seeing people's reactions to unexpected, disarming and "probing" questions. I love body language and trying to view how peoples auras and/or magnetism would be when around each other.
I am a sentimental man. I have coffee,tea and sugar boxes, that my Grandfather crafted, in my kitchen to keep my memories strong of him and my Grandmother. The smell of Blue Drum tobacco also take me back..
I am a man of simple taste and pleasures. I find beauty in everyday things that some people take for granted. I love a sunrise and the feeling of the first rays of sunlight touching my face. It makes me feel very much alive and human. Nights are more for meditation and reflection. Long drives to no-where on a warm summer after dark, windows down, hearing the sound of the open road and feeling the buzz of the throttle against my toes. If I feel like staying home then drifting away on the couch or in the hammock is where I'll be. Classic music in my ears and a good scotch or liqueur in my hand.I also love the .
I wouldn't consider myself a materialistic person though I do love some material things.The 1950's is my favourite era and I often think I was born into the wrong one. It's when men were men and women were women. Everything about the 50's I love as well as all the influences that come with it. Clothes, style, women, music, a sweet kind of niavety to the rest of the world and its troubles, household way of living and....cars. Oh to be a young teenage boy in the late 40's...
I guess you could say I am rocka but with a twist. My love of the 50's and the way guys dressed back then just seems right to me but I'm not what you call a traditional rocka. It's because I'm not trying to be like anything or anyone, just me. My own version.
As for the fetishes that I desire, I'd much rather have a drink or coffee when discussing these as conversation, for the above reasons, is much better than emails or txt talk. But chances are, if I've contacted you, you're ticking the boxes that I already have..
