Letting it all find it's own level, it's own pace. All in good time.
I am not dramatic, nor am I a sadist, yet I wish to live a full, rich, and complete life as Master and slave. I think I am very approachable, since I don't feel a need to act like a Dominant all the time.
I see M/s as being like a dance, perhaps a tango...slow some times, vibrant other times, but always sensual...two bodies moving together as one, eyes locked, with one leading, the other following, but joining together to a rythmn and beat that pulsates through their bodies, becoming something that neither could be without the other.

Often, you will meet someone who has that quality that you find so rare... perhaps it's a freshness, an eagerness to learn, a willingness to trust. A positive spirit. In teaching, in training, it's possible to take that person down a path, quite willingly on both parts, that fundamentally changes or supplants that trait that you found so fetching in the beginning. How can you recover innocence? Undo certain experiences? Re-affirm the original paradigm? The Dominant must bear this responsibility, for the sub or slave is trusting in him. Self-indulgence is a tempting path that should be walked like a minefield.

4/29/2013 8:28:55 AM: Why do we all forget that there are multiple meanings for the word 'discipline?' The root word is from the Latin disciplina, which means 'instruction.' It is also the root word for 'disciple.' A subject in school is called a discipline. It means teaching, instruction. Not just scenes or role playing. Not just pain and abuse. It's more about real teaching and training, not gratification. Yes, it means those things too, especially here in our kinky little world, but it also means much more. And it's the teaching that more closely defines the Master's role than mere play or punishment, or self-indulgence.
And what word better characterizes a devoted slave, than 'disciple?' But that's another entry.
