Dom(me)s train subs, but who trains dom(mes)? I am uneasy about the terms "Master" "Slave" "Slavery" "being owned" "property"... I fully understand that all of these terms underlie and imply the consent of all parties involved, but there is a long history of people being owned and enslaved without consent, and the same exact language was used to maintain these unjust relationships. I am not sure that adapting such language in a BDSM context can transcend its oppressiveness. It's fine to disagree, just think about it. Why does it seem that most BDSM practitioners are white? I appreciate and welcome any thoughts/experiences you want to share about these aspects of bdsm-- issues of gender, race, class, ability etc Another question I'm intrigued by is: What is it about pain that makes it desirable to some people? I am extremely interested to hear what people think I think there is a pretty clear line between Dom men and misogynist men--- if you simply hate women and want to see them suffer just to get off without giving a fuck about their experience, you're simply a mysogynist. You're not fooling anyone--go find another hobby or title for yourself DON'T despair if I don't reply right away---I like to put time in my responses, so don't think I'm ignoring you---unless I really am, but usually I'm not
