Tell me, why is it when I think I've found the One, he *poofs*?  By *poofing*, I mean, he stops writing, texting, phoning, IMing, e-mailing - just magickly disappears.  One moment, everything is going along great, then with no word, he's gone.

It would be nice to have some type of contact saying - I can't do this because... or you're not right for me because...

I promise, I wouldn't get mad.  If it doesn't work for you that's important, just as if it didn't work for me.  You profess to uphold the ideals of open and honest communication but decline to operate within those parameters.

Well, I've stopped packing and have removed the "under consideration" label from my account.  It's back to the drawing board.  I guess I'll try again.  I thought he was perfect, I was wrong.  I thought he was the One, I was wrong.  I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong again.  But I hope to have better luck next time.

I want to thank everyone who has wished me well over the last day.  It was nice to know that someone other than my roomies cared about me.  Thanks, friends.  As an update, I'm feeling somewhat better today, still exhausted.  I have an appointment with my pulmonologist on Thursday morning.  He may have more testing or medication changes at that time.  I'm still awaiting results on some blood work.  The CT of my chest was negative for any additional changes.  He may order another test called a CT angiogram that will take a closer look for blood clots or he may order a bronchoscopy.  I'll have to wait and see.

Today's Menu:  Lamb chops & vegetables in a Mustard-Dill Sauce; Zucchini & Corn with cilantro.  Dessert is cherry cobbler.

I have several errands to run today.  I will not be at the computer much.  I had a wonderful day yesterday.  But went to bed frustrated.  Slept poorly. 

 Today's menu is simple and old-fashioned comfort food.

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, fresh greenbeans from the garden, a fresh tomato salat.  Dessert will be brownies with homemade vanilla bean ice cream.

I was able to start making pickles yesterday.

Todays Menu:

Duck a la orange

Rice pilaf

Sweet and Sour red cabbage

Roasted onions with garlic

No Dessert - still have leftovers from yesterday

Today, I have harvested tomatoes from my garden.  I cleaned and processed them.  I ended up with 7 pints of tomato sauce.  Preserving fresh vegetables and fruit can really bring a taste of summer on a cold winter's day.

 Tonight's menu: vegetable crudite, BBQ beans, fresh grilled beef ribs in my own sweet BBQ sauce, with potato au gratin en cruste.  For dessert Black Forest cake with fresh cherries and chocolate shavings.
