Why is it that so many profiles have the location as just UK?
If you're worried that someone might work out who you are just provide a county or a region...
Even "North" or "South" would be an improvement...

Please don't reply or make contact with me if you are a time-waster or a fake as I am here only to make contact with genuine people with a view to meeting.
I am getting truly fed up with people who want to engage me in hours of chat and then run a mile at the first hint of any contact.
I do understand that, unlike many of the people on the site, I am intelligent and articulate and I am able to maintain a conversation about a subject in which I am reasonably experienced.
If you won't call my phone when I offer you the choice to withhold your number there has to be something wrong doesn't there?
Your privacy is in no way compromised and on that basis, with your anonymity protected, why on earth should you be nervous or need more time?
So please do expect me to ask you to call me at an early stage in the dialogue.
Don't ask me to continue and offer to call tomorrow. In over two years not one person has called me back the next day... Not one... Isn't that amazing?
I have actually met a number of fine people so there are some decent men and women on this site but there are also a lot of people who are not.
