It's a beautiful day in North Carolina!!!  

One great thing about moving is sifting through all the stuff and realizing how much of it you really don't want or need. One girl's trash is another girl's treasure so off to the Thrift Store it goes!  There's such a feeling of lightness once you drive away from the donation dock!

The packing has begun but I am dragging my feet on finding my next place TO BE. I've looked at a couple of spots.  My Chinese Fortune cookie told me not to make choices out of fear today...so I'm taking the advice. 

Ugh.  I just found out my landlord is selling the house I rent.  Looks like I'm moving.  I need to find a more affordable place anyway so I'll call that my silver lining.

Meatloaf.  Mashed potatoes.  Gravy.  Garden peas.  It's cold outside!!!

Hmmm...most recent foray is today's black eyed peas and collards!  Happy New Year!

And hello to you, too, Mr. Torso with the very tight black panties on that probably came out of the Target bag next to you in your time stamped 2004 profile pic!  Your copy/ paste message to me has me reeling.  Please stop with your witty repartee....I am breathless.

I'm so happy to say that I finally went "meta" with one of my weekend cooking projects!  Wait for it....banana pudding!  I made the custard from scratch and I was very happy with it!  It let the vanilla wafers come through to provide most of the sweetness (along with the bananas, of course!)  Ha ha- I just realized every sentence here ends with an exclamation point...I must be pretty excited about this one :)

 When you encounter some ladies who seem jaded, or don't reply to short messages- I give you this example of a recent copy-paste first contact mistake.  

 Update:  I really must include this charming and subtle bid for my affections:  And I quote (Asterisks are mine), "do you think it would be funny to watch a guy f*ck by a dog?"  Oscar Wilde, eat your heart out.

I try to reply to any short message that is kind and shows that someone has read my profile.  Ones like my examples...I ignore because they're  just wholesale trawling.

I had a great long weekend spoiling my mother.  My brother and I grilled pork chops and wings for her and at the last minute, picked fresh asparagus from his garden to throw on there with butter and soy sauce wrapped in foil.  It was aMAYzing!  

We served it up with a great pitcher of sangria to which we added a couple of shots of gen-yoo-wine North Carolina moonshine.  What a great meal :)  We finished things up with strawberry shortcakes, of course!

This is National Offend a Feminist Week!  (Truth!)  So, I'd love to make a nice sandwich for a Dominant man with a good sense of humor and bring it to his table somewhere teeming with those often unfulfilled women.  Hopefully I could take your order and treat you like a king in front of a cadre of feminists? It would have to be local to me....whaddaya think?  Carrboro, somewhere?  Just for the silly fun of it.  (Great for a role-player, I'd think :)

Success!  I made a pot of eastern NC chicken pastry today and I feel really good about my first attempt.  I wish I could ask my Grandma for pointers on getting it to be more like hers.  Not perfect but still a yummy supper!

I'm back after a hiatus during which I helped my bio-dad through some health issues and did some serious job hunting.  I'm still cookin', literally :)

I made a succulent Roasted Lemon Chicken with crispedy crunchedy skin over the weekend...and no one but me to take a bite :(  

This week's delicious meal:  Slow cooked barbecued thick cut pork chops, homemade macaroni and cheese and green beans.  

I am such a total dork!  I would never consider myself a gamer, but I am having so much fun playing Space Invaders and Asteroids in the Games tab here :3  I am pretty terrible and the games are very short...still fun, though.

Speaking of playing games, here is a note for the Doms who have "zillions of years of experience in the lifestyle" but who are really insistent in early messages.   I may not know a lot, but I do know that guys who jump right into telling me they're going to play with me on our first meeting are not real Doms. A real dominant establishes trust first and has respect for a woman's limits.

They don't have to manipulate or cajole because their confidence draws us subs to them like moths.  After patient trust is established the sky's the limit :)

My latest dinner triumph was enchiladas and home made tortilla chips with guacamole!  At least I'm having fun in the kitchen!

I'm cooking up a venison lasagna some night this week!  It is my promise to myself :) I'm so glad the guys in my family are hunters!

I got so many messages.  I can't possibly reply to them all.  It's too much to even read them all right now.  I hope people check back and see this.  I can't write everybody back, but thank you for your nice messages.
