Any contract will be for these duties at specific times as agreed upon by both Trainee and Trainer. First contracts may be made for no less than three months. Successive contracts will be for no less than six months and no more than a year. There is no stated limit to the number of contracts that can be signed since it depends solely on mutual interest.

When no previous arrangement has been made, the Trainee and Trainer are not required to fulfill these roles.

The Trainee is defined as the bottom, the submissive partner, who hands over his/her power within limits when in scene.

The Trainer is defined as the top, the dominant partner, who makes decisions and controls all activities when in scene.
